Qc Level 2

We are seeking a skilled and experienced QC Level 2 Welding Inspector to join our team in Secunda for a short-term project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in petrochemical piping inspection, with the ability to read and interpret drawings, conduct thorough inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards. 

Location: Trichardt / Secunda
Closing Date: 07/04/2026 

Key Responsibilities:

 

 

  • ​​​​​​​Assist lead Qc with inspections and releases.

  • Perform punching.

  • Perform visual inspections.

  • Witnessing of hydro tests.

  • Updating of weld system and qc data books.

  • Perform before, during and after welding inspections.

Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • The candidate must have at least 5 years of work experience in the petrochemical piping industry.
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must understand the process of piping fabrication from the beginning of fabrication until the end after witnessing of hydrotest.
  • Must be able to request required NDE's as required.
  • Must understand WPS's.
  • Must have experience and understand the Sasol SP Specs.

 

 

Administrative Clerk

We are looking for an experienced Piping Supervisor to oversee fabrication, piping, and welding activities on a project based in Secunda. 

Location: Trichardt / Secunda

Requirements:

 

 

 

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication, piping, and welding supervision
  • Proven experience in supervisory roles within industrial or petrochemical environments
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications

  • Experience with safe work procedures, risk assessments, and permit systems
  • Strong knowledge of stainless steel handling, storage, and control
  • Understanding of welding processes and related consumables
  • Knowledge of hydrotesting and pressure testing activities
  • Ability to manage quality control in line with safety and project standards
  • Familiarity with welding acceptance criteria and inspection processes

 

 

Qualifications:

 

 

 

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical, Piping, or Welding supervision
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME / SANS)
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance requirements
